Hi, I’m Andy.

I service, repair and customise guitars and basses for Marillion.  I have a workshop at their studio complex.  I also tour with guitarist, Steve Rothery, on all his solo projects as his preferred Guitar Tech.

As you can imagine, I go through a lot of cleaning and maintenance products in my line of work. I haven’t been impressed by a lot of the so-called ‘premium’ products on the market. I have also noticed that some products I had been using for years have really gone downhill in terms of quality.

I became aware of Axe Wax via social media. They seemed just what I was looking for. A small business and based here in the UK. I contacted them and ordered a variety of their products to try out.

I have been using these products for a few weeks now and I can honestly say that they are the best I have ever used.

I am most impressed by Axe Blast guitar cleaner. All it needs is a quick spray and minimal buffing to produce a deep shine, with a very pleasant scent to boot.

As you can imagine, all the guitars I look after are hardworking, long travelled instruments. Some, particularly Steve Rothery’s 1980’s modified Squier Strat, are iconic. Having the right products is essential when looking after them. The Axe Wax range fit the bill perfectly.
